At the numerous requests of residents of the Stryi, Hrabovetsko-Dulibivska, and Morshyn communities, the developer of ASOOP, the IT company LLC 'Ukrainian Geoinformation Systems,' provides clarification on how the Socium mobile application works.
What is Socium?
Socium is a mobile transport application developed by LLC 'Ukrainian Geoinformation Systems' in 2021. It successfully operates on two operating systems and allows users to: track public transport movement in the Lviv region, view schedules in Stryi, Lviv, and the Lviv Oblast, and purchase e-tickets via QR code for travel within the Stryi, Hrabovetsko-Dulibivska, and Morshyn communities. The number of communities using ASOOP is constantly increasing.
Where to download Socium?
You can download the Socium app to your smartphone from the App Store or Play Market.
● iOS – https://apps.apple.com/ua/app/socium/id1564915958?l=uk
● Android – https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.onesoft.socium
How does the app work?
For full functionality, we encourage you to log in using your Google or Apple account. Of course, you can browse information using the 'Continue without registration' feature, but in this mode, you won’t be able to buy a Socium e-ticket or pay for transport.
What services are available in the app?
Currently, the Socium mobile app offers the following functions and services:
– real-time vehicle tracking and schedules;
– scanning the vehicle's QR code;
– ticket purchase.
How to view vehicle tracking and schedules?
In the Socium app, select the 'Real-time tracking and schedules' category and find your locality (Stryi, Lviv, Lviv region) to view transport in real-time.
You can also separately view transport schedules operating in Stryi, Lviv, and the Lviv region.
Is it necessary to scan the QR code with the app?
Yes, after boarding public transport, select the 'Scan QR code of the vehicle' category in the Socium app, allow camera access 'While using the app', scan the QR sticker placed inside the vehicle, and proceed to pay.
For example, in Stryi, bus ВС-1784-ІВ has a QR code sticker. Upon boarding, passengers scan it with the Socium mobile app, and all route information appears on their smartphone screen. On flat-rate (urban) routes, Apple Pay and Google Pay are launched automatically. On intercity routes, the app prompts the user to select their destination, shows all remaining stops, calculates the fare, and offers payment options.
How to use the 'Buy Ticket' category?
The 'Buy Ticket' category works as follows: select 'Stryi' – 'Purchase Ticket' – confirm.
If a passenger purchases an e-ticket before boarding, it must be validated on board. However, if they scan and buy the ticket simultaneously, validation is automatic.
We remind you that in July 2022, the possibility to pay for travel via the Socium app became available on routes in the Stryi community and some intercity and suburban public bus routes in the Lviv region.
