Now, electronic fare payment can be used on buses in the Stryi City Territorial Community. This initiative was implemented by the Stryi Territorial Community in cooperation with LLC "Ukrainian Geoinformation Systems" and the Stryi Auto Transport Enterprise.
According to the developer, the electronic fare payment system was launched in test mode on the first 10 routes. However, within 2 months, the system will be further equipped on other vehicles of the Stryi Auto Transport Enterprise.
The fare payment system complex is unique because it simultaneously works with tariff grids and many united territorial communities (OTGs) and administrations of various levels. In addition to accounting for privileged trips and various payment methods, this complex can manage buses on routes by informing the driver in real time about being ahead or behind schedule.
"Currently, electronic accounting of privileged trips is being conducted using previously issued cards and taking into account the cost of each privileged trip according to tariff grids.
At the same time, manual validators with extended public transport management functionality have been installed on routes. Payment by bank and transport cards, as well as through a mobile application, will be launched in the near future," notes the developer.
Recall that more than 1,000 social cards have already been issued in the Stryi City Territorial Community, and by the end of March 2022, a total of 35,000 cards are expected to be issued. Geoportals and mobile applications with online tracking and schedules have been launched, through which it will soon also be possible to pay for travel.
