Over the past year, extensive work has been underway in the city of Uzhgorod to implement an electronic ticket system. As part of the project, specialized equipment was installed on buses in stages, and transport cards were issued to privileged categories of the population.

Today, the technical stage has already been completed: equipment has been installed on 100% of the city's vehicle fleet, in particular:

- 40 "Electron" buses of the Uzhgorod Municipal Transport Enterprise;
- 48 buses of three private carriers serving city routes.
The electronic ticket system has successfully passed testing and is ready for full-scale launch.

However, the implementation of electronic ticketing is not just about paying for travel. It is a modern and convenient service for residents, which includes:

- a mobile application for citizens;
- the ability to track bus traffic in real time;
- a transparent and controlled passenger flow accounting system;
- parsing city news and communicating with local authorities;
- effective implementation of preferential transport policy.
The list of services will be expanded in the future.

Uzhgorod is getting closer to European standards in the field of urban mobility — the digitalization of transport will increase the convenience and quality of transportation for both passengers and carriers.
